Wanda Hope Herron, age 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Born on March 5, 1933, Wanda lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family.

Wanda was a longtime and faithful member of Indian Mound Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord was the foundation of her life and was evident in the kindness, compassion, and grace she showed to everyone she met.

Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, were her life’s greatest joy. Nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her family. She cherished every gathering, every conversation, and every opportunity to love and encourage those closest to her.

Anyone who knew Wanda knew her deep love for flowers and gardening. Her yard reflected her gentle and nurturing spirit, blooming beautifully under her tender care. She found peace and joy working in her garden, creating beauty that everyone could enjoy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Weldon Bailey; her husbands, John Hope and Paul Herron; her daughter, Carol Hope; five sisters; and three brothers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Sharon McAfee (Mike), Kathy Mosca (John), and Sandi Hope; her brothers, Elwood Bailey and John Bailey; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

Wanda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, her gentle spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven.

Family and friends will meet 2 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Jacksboro Cemetery for a 3 PM Graveside Service and Interment, Rev. Glen McNeely officiating.
