JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Following a one day trial on Sept. 23, 2025, a Campbell County jury found Carrie Anne Wagner guilty as charged for two counts of aggravated assault by strangulation, and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Following the guilty verdict, Eighth Judicial District Judge Zachary R. Walden scheduled a sentencing hearing for Nov. 3.

The state was assisted in prosecuting the case by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. At trial, the state was represented by Assistant District Attorneys Blake A. Mullins and Chelsea R. Hatcher.
