Unwanted guest removed from home, arrested for 41st time

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – After a homeowner asked several times for an unwanted guest to leave his home, and he would not leave, law enforcement was called to the residence at 2732 Demory Road.

When Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Timothy Powers arrived at the home, near Bakers Forge Cemetery, he found 45-year- old Terry Lee Shoupes laying on a couch, according to the report from the sheriff’s office. Shoupes allegedly told Powers that he had nowhere else to go.

During the 5am call last Friday morning, Powers discovered there was a criminal capias for Shoupes from criminal court. Shoupes was placed under arrest without incident.

Based on jail records, Shoupes is unemployed and was arrested for the 41st time. He is being held this morning in the Campbell County Jail without bond awaiting a March 10 court date. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/15/2022-6AM)
