Nov. 15 at Lick Creek Bottoms WMA at Mohawk in Greene County

MORRISTOWN, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)— The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) invites new and aspiring hunters to attend a free Introduction to Waterfowl Hunting class on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lick Creek Bottoms WMA at Mohawk in Greene County.

This hands-on course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed for a successful waterfowl hunting experience. Topics will include:

  • Waterfowl identification
  • Basic biology and migration patterns
  • Bag limits and hunting regulations
  • Scouting and hunting strategies
  • Decoy placement and calling techniques
  • Dog handling and retrieving
  • Gear selection and more 

The class is free for anyone with a valid Tennessee small game hunting and fishing license. A complimentary lunch will also be provided.
