A third wreck, non-injury, occurred in front of Food City on the four lane at 4:05pm

Four vehicles made contact Thursday afternoon during rush hour in La Follette.
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “Let me know when you have an ambulance freed up. We have a driver who is suffering chest pains from an air bag deployment,” said La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack to the City’s Central Dispatch. It’s been a challenging afternoon for city and county first responders.
Counting the wreck near Food City at Woodson’s Mall, there were three wrecks on the four lane in less than an hour.

At 3:10pm Thursday is when the first of two wrecks with injuries calls came in to La Follette’s Central Dispatch. This first one was a couple of vehicles wrecking injuring three people in front of Smith Metals on the four lane. Jacksboro bound traffic was snarled for the better part of an hour. Patients were transported to the La Follette Medical Center, and the four lane in front of Smith Metals, across from the high school, was fully reopened.

La Follette Police and Fire Departments dealt with three wrecks in less than an hour on the four lane.
About 3:20pm is when the other Thursday collision occurred. A four car wreck happened in the left lane and turn lane in front of Domino’s at the West Central Avenue and 9th Street intersection. Traffic was funneled down to one lane in each direction, and patients were transported to the La Follette Medical Center. By 4:05pm, the wreck was cleared and all lanes were back open.
