The call of the mishap on top of Eagle Bluff came in to Central Dispatch at 7:59am Monday

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN (WLAF)- A Campbell County man was airlifted by a medical helicopter Monday morning after sustaining injuries in a single-vehicle accident on top of Eagle Bluff.

Officials say the truck overturned on its side hitting a stump on the driver’s side pinning the driver, the lone occupant, in the blue full-size Dodge pick-up truck.

First responders with the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department arrived first followed by Campbell EMS in the steep terrain. Jacksboro and La Follette Fire Departments also responded along with Campbell Sheriff and Tennessee Highway Patrol.

La Follette Fire Captain Dusty Davis and an unidentified Trooper with the THP look on as Lowe’s Tows brings the wrecked truck back up on all fours.

The patient was flown to a Knoxville hospital by a med chopper that landed in the parking lot of Camel Manufacturing.
