Workshop is Thursday at six at Caryville Municipal Building

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- On Thursday evening, the Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen are scheduled to meet at 6pm and discuss five items.

Those items are a discussion of the vacancy of the vice mayor’s position. This position has not been filled since the former Vice Mayor Beth Lawson took on the role of mayor when after almost a year of serving as mayor, David Chambers stepped down. At last month’s regular monthly meeting, Mayor Beth Lawson nominated Aldermen Josh Monday to the position of vice mayor. However, no action was taken due to no motion being made.

Other items slated for discussion are budget priorities for the fiscal year 2027 and town administrator personnel authorities.

Final items on the agenda are board procedures looking at the benefit of adding workshops to the permanent schedule and the meeting schedule. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-03/24/2026-6AM)
