Decision made on Christmas lighting contest and employee bonuses

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Christmas was the topic of discussion at the Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen special called meeting Wednesday afternoon.

The board discussed Christmas bonuses for the full time employees, part time employees and the volunteer firemen. There is currently $4,000 in the budget for the bonuses. After a brief discussion about what the town had previously paid, the board agreed to give full time employees $300, part time employees $200 and volunteer firemen $100.

The Christmas light contest was approved. Anyone in the Town of Caryville who is interested in participating needs to call (423.562.9478) the town’s main office and give them their information by Fri., Dec. 19. Participants must have their home decorated to participate. Winners will receive $300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place.
