Watch Campbell and Blount play tonight at Maryville live here over WLAF at 6pm

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It’s a three games in five days week for the Cougars and Lady Cougars of Campbell High. Tonight at William Blount, Thursday at South-Doyle and Friday at home with Anderson are the games on tap.

Blount’s Lady Governors fell Monday night at home to Cocke County and bring a 3 & 2 worksheet back to Marvin L. Boring Gymnasium for tonight’s match-up with the 4 & 0 Campbell Lady Cougars. This could be a good match-up for the Lady Cougars according to their head coach, Jason Kitts, in that both teams are a lot alike. “They have a couple of kids that can shoot well, and they have good sized guards that handle the ball well,” said Coach Kitts. Blount plays a lot of man-to-man and switches to a 2-3 zone at times. The game tips off at 6pm.

“We will have to be poised and take care of the basketball to give ourselves a chance, and this team is a very high IQ team we are playing,” said Coach Ernie Clawson. Blount was a point away from making the state tourney a season ago and has most of that team back including Mr. Basketball finalist Caden Windle. They are a talented group that is long and athletic and shoot the basketball at a very high percentage, according to Coach Clawson. Clawson’s 3 & 2 Cougars face the 4 & 1 Governors, fresh off a Monday night home win over Cocke County, at 7:30 tonight.
