Last week, members of the Campbell County Rural Fire Service, La Follette Rescue Squad and La Follette Fire Department trained together on vehicle extrication. Â Â Crews practiced new techniques on how to safely stabilize a vehicle and extricate someone in an automobile accident.
The exercise took place Monday and Thursday nights with classes running from 6 pm to 10 pm at Campbell County Rural Fire Station 1 in east La Follette. The goal was to conduct the class at night so the crews would have to set up lights since working at night is a lot different than during the daytime. Hazards are harder to see at night.
The crews are always working to serve our community better. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/10/2018-6AM)
