‘The Job Fair puts a lot of people together’- Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch

 Bess Stout, Human Resource Director at Tennova – La Follette Medical Center was among the 40 employers at Tuesday’s Job Fair held at Woodson’s Mall.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- An estimated more than 200 job seekers came through the east corridor of Woodson’s Mall during Tuesday morning’s third annual Job Fair. “We had a whole lot of people looking for jobs, and 40 employers signed up to be here,” said Randy Brown, Campbell County Vice-Mayor.

“This is wonderful; a huge turnout,” said Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch.

On the left are Campbell County Vice-Mayor Randy Brown and Gary Human. Human is the East Tennessee Regional Director for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.

“I can’t thank Rob Woodson and Becky Aiken enough for making the Woodson’s Mall available to us,” said Brown. There were a lot more employers making this the largest yet, according to Brown.

TCAT, one of the sponsors of the Job Fair, was well represented on Tuesday morning at Woodson’s Mall. Behind the tables, left to right, are Derick Marlow. Camilla Gambrel and Jill Browning.

Brown passed along a thank you to all the employers, prospective employees and the Career Technical Education students from Campbell County High School. The CTE students helped with the set up and breakdown of the 9am until noon event.

On Tuesday, Sheriff Wayne Barton stopped by Jacksboro Middle School, and he talked with students in Jeanna Newport’s 8th grade Social Studies Class about the many roles within the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and the different career paths available in law enforcement. “We always enjoy spending time with our local schools and sharing a little about how we serve our community,” said Barton.
More than 200 job seekers came through the 9am until noon event at Woodson’s Mall.
