LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Here, more than 65 years later, the once Lafollette Community Hospital is now Tennova La follette Medical Center. This is a look back to the beginning of the Lafollette Community Hospital in the mid 1950s.

In the beginning, there was only the one wing. By the late part of the 1950s, a second wing was being added known as the west wing. Then around 1967, the nursing home was started.

Today, the structure in this image is hidden by the medical arts building and the renovation of the emergency department. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/13/2023-6AM)
