A low of 16 and a high of 36 are ahead for Sunday night’s low and Monday’s high as December comes in cold

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A cold front exits Campbell County this morning with rainfall ending. We’ll see sunshine and decreasing clouds today with conditions drying as temperatures become cooler than Monday’s 60s. Near average high temperatures take us to the 50s.

It’ll be mostly clear with a seasonably cold tonight on the way go to with a low of 33.

A strong cold front moves through Wednesday night and Thursday. A general half to 1 inch of rain is possible with this system. Colder temperatures invade Campbell County and the region on Friday and Saturday, with another reinforcing shot of cold air on Sunday. Sunday’s high will struggle to warm to 37 ahead of a Sunday night low of 16. Low wind chills could also be a possibility on Sunday and Monday.

A Northwest flow brings snow showers early Friday and may bring light accumulation to parts of the Campbell County and Tennessee mountains and higher elevations of southwest Virginia.
