Multiple patients were transported by ground ambulance to Knoxville hospitals

JACKSBORO-CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Just before the rain set in on Wednesday evening, there was a two vehicle wreck on the four lane between Jacksboro and Caryville. A pick-up truck pulling a trailer and a four door car collided.
The mishap was at 7:07pm on the Caryville side of Dog Creek Lane close to Elkins Road. A portion of the four lane had to be closed.
The car involved in the wreck was said to be going west, toward Caryville, in the east bound lanes, according to one official.

First responders with the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department, with assistance from the Jacksboro Fire Department, extracted the driver of the car. Three patients were transported to a Knoxville hospital by Campbell EMS.
