UPDATE 5:45 pm: The LPD has the suspect in custody.
LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- LaFollette Police are at the scene of a man who has barricaded himself in a home in the 200 block of N. 12th St. He is suspected to be armed. SWAT is on scene, and the hope is to peacefully resolve this situation, said LPD Chief Matthew Forsyth. A neighbor called police around 3:30pm to report the incident. He is suspected to be armed, and the public is being asked to stay away from the scene. The LaFollette Fire Department is in the parking lot of East LaFollette Baptist Church on medical standby for SWAT.
