The 200 block of North 12th Street was closed off for hours on Monday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The man involved in a police stand-off with La Follette Officers on Monday afternoon remains housed this morning in the Campbell County Jail on a $100,000 secure bond.
It is the first booking at the jail for Harold McAdam, according to jail officials. The 58-year old man is due in court on Thursday on a charge of reckless aggravated domestic assault-fear.
On Monday afternoon, LaFollette Police responded to the scene of a man who had barricaded himself inside his home in the 200 block of North 12th Street. Reports coming in to WLAF at the time were that McAdam was armed.
“The LPD Special Weapons and Tactics team was able to peacefully resolve this situation around 5:45pm,” said LPD Chief Matthew Forsyth.
A neighbor called police at 3:30pm to report the incident. Police cleared the public from the area and shutdown the 200 block of N. 12th.
The La Follette Fire Department was staged a block over in the parking lot of East LaFollette Baptist Church. LFD was on medical standby for the SWAT team. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-09/24/2025-6AM-IMAGE COURTESY OF GOOGLE MAPS)
