LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF) – Ricky Summit was the guest speaker at Rotary yesterday. Summitt is a licensed Senior Principal PRA Engineer for ENERCON and has more than 40 years of experience in risk.

He has over 20 years in physical security analysis techniques to manage and perform technical tasks in the assessment of safety and security concerns for nuclear and chemical projects both domestically and internationally. Summitt has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee and is currently working toward a PhD in nuclear engineering at the University of Tennessee.  Summitt holds the rank of Captain in the US Army and is attached to the 323rd Military Intelligence Battalion (Theater Support). Since May 2022, he has been assigned to the armed forces of Ukraine and has made six deployments to Ukraine. He addressed the current situation in the Ukraine and highlighted his multiple tours of duty.
