Steven “Steve” Ford, age 74 of Caryville, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Cumberland Village. He was born on January 31, 1951, to late Ernest Young and Maxine (Ford) Young. Steve was a member of Heavens View Missionary Baptist Church and did jail ministry at Campbell County, Scott County, and Morgan County. He also loved drinking coffee at Waffle House and was a big Campbell County Cougar football and basketball fan, especially the matchup between the Lady Cougars and Lady Wildcats when his great niece, Courtney Ellison was playing. Steve served his country proudly in the Vietnam War as an Air Force Veteran, he also worked many years as a registered nurse as a travel contract nurse.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Darryl Young.
Steve is survived by his sisters Susan Elliott and husband Terry of Jacksboro and Terri Job and husband Chuck of Caryville; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Family and friends can stop by from 2:00-3:30 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to view Mr. Ford. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 12:30 PM at East Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery with Rev. Troy Arnold officiating with Military Honors to be given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
