JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Connect to the WLAF – Lindsay’s Carpet & Paint Center video player to watch Campbell and Fulton. Air time is 7:30 with an 8pm kick-off over the WLAF – Doyle’s Tire Shop Sports Network.
On what may end up being the hottest day of 2023, the Campbell Cougars will open their home football season as Fulton comes to town. Both teams are coming off disappointing first game losses, Fulton at home, Campbell at Halls.
“From that second half with Halls, there are a lot of teaching moments for us; some things that I think will help us improve. Some things I think we can fix pretty quick. Some things we’re just going to have to continue to work on, but overall, we’ve had a great week of practice,” said Campbell Head Coach Justin Price.
Fulton’s tradition speaks for itself. “You know, the history of Fulton is phenomenal what they’ve been able to accomplish. It’s a program that knows how to win,” said Price.

Price describes Fulton as having some dynamic players with offensive and defensive lines that have some size to them. “And they’re well coached,” adds Price.
Heat or not, Cougar fans come out, and they’ll be out in full force come Friday night to cheer on the Orange-n-Blue. “I love our stadium and playing here, and the community has supported our program since I’ve been here. It’s hard to put into words what all they’ve allowed us to accomplish, because we are the community’s team,” said Price.
The 13th year head coach expresses that “the players work so hard. They invest so much, and when they run out on this field and see this crowd support them, win or lose, through good plays and bad plays, it just shows what they’re doing matters.”
