Small business advocate group endorses Dennis Powers for re-election

NASHVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- The National Federation of Independent Business Tennessee (NIFB), the political action committee (PAC) of the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, has endorsed State Representative Dennis Powers (PHOTO ABOVE) in the 36^th House District race. The NFIB Tennessee PAC is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

“Our members support the candidates who demonstrate they will support small business consistently, and Rep. Dennis Powers has shown us that he understands the significant challenges for small businesses,”  said Jim Brown, the National Federation of Independent Business’ state director for Tennessee. “Rep. Dennis Powers is committed to building and maintaining a pro-small business environment in his district and across Tennessee.”

The NFIB Tennessee PAC endorsement is critical to candidates’ campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB Tennessee PAC’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
