Temperatures do not reach higher than the 30s for the next several days and nights

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- There’s a high of 43 waaaaaay out there on Tuesday. In the meantime, winter keeps its grip on Campbell County and the region. Wednesday brings brisk conditions with a high of 33 as skies give-way to lots of sunshine ahead of a low of 15 Wednesday night.

Temperatures will remain below normal Wednesday and Thursday but still rising above freezing for most of Campbell County and the area.
Light snow is increasingly likely Friday evening to Saturday, especially in the higher elevations of Campbell County and eastern half of the region.
Extreme cold returns Saturday night through Sunday night, possibly colder than what has been seen in recent days.

Another surge of bitter cold air is likely Friday night into the weekend. Moderate probabilities are in place for some minor snow accumulations across portions of Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennessee and the East Tennessee mountains including Campbell County.
