Shirley Jean (Chadwell) Claiborne, age 84, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She had been attending Jacksboro Methodist Church.  Preceded in death by Daughter: Cyndi Claiborne Poteet, Grandchild: Dakota Fowler; Great-Grandchildren: Ainslee Crawford and Malcolm Crawford, Parents: Eslick and Tilda White Chadwell, Sisters: Wanda (Tootsie) Davidson, Jane Wilson, Yvonne Faulkner, Gerldine “Cricket” Miller.

Survived by:

Husband: Ronald Terry Claiborne

Daughter: Diane and Michael Roark

Grandchildren: Krystal and Josh Foust, Andrew and Shelby Fowler, Lauren Shaw, Kelton Poteet, Kolby Poteet, Lacie Poteet

Great-Grandchildren: Bella, Korrie, Mayci, Coleton Foust, Hayden Shaw

Brothers: Millard Chadwell, Norris Chadwell

Sister: Joyce Walden

Special Friend: Tammy Teague

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends 4-6 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 6 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Keith Hampson officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Chadwell Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
