JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Board of Education released its summer sports guidelines this morning.
Summer Sports Guidelines
- No student or coach will feel pressure to participate in any onsite, face to face activities.
 - No student or coach will experience any repercussions for not attending onsite, face to face workouts.
 - Students and coaches must have a pre-activity, body temperature evaluation each day of attendance.
 - Any student or coach with a fever of 100.4 or higher will return home immediately.
 - Daily attendance will be logged.
 - Coaches or Instructors will turn in a weekly activity plan to the appointed director for approval.
 
Student/Coach/Instructor
- Only school personnel and students will be allowed in facilities – no spectators.
 - Every activity group will consist of a maximum of 10 people.
 - In most cases that will consist of 9 students and 1 instructor.
 - Members of the activity group will remain the same each day to aid contact tracing.
 - Social distancing of at least 6 feet will be maintained at all times.
 - No physical contact of any kind among activity participants.
 - Students must arrive to activities dressed – no changing facilities will be provided.
 
Facility
- Only school personnel and students will be allowed in facilities – no spectators.
 - Activity groups will be separated with sufficient buffer zones between groups if in the same area.
 - No locker rooms will be available.
 - A restroom plan will be in place limiting the number of students in the restroom at one time.
 - Indoor facilities that have been used will be cleaned and sanitized between group sessions.
 
Equipment
- School equipment will be sanitized after each session.
 - Students will only use equipment that can be used safely without aid (spotter).
 - Students will bring their own water bottles.
 
Elementary
- No elementary sports (students under sixth grade) until the start of the 2020-2021 school year. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/27/2020-NOON)
