Roger Lee McGhee, age 71, of LaFollette

Roger Lee McGhee, age 71, of LaFollette passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

He was preceded in death by parents: Maynard and Louise Byrge McGhee, grandparents: Alex and Rosa Byrge, brothers: Bobby McGhee, Otis McGhee and Steve McGhee. He was a retired construction worker, loved being around his family, happiness and laughter.

He enjoyed working on cars and walking on the lake.

Son: Rodney McGhee and Maria

Wesley McGhee

Grandson: Tate McGhee and wife Candace

Granddaughter: Lily Rae McGhee

Great-Granddaughter on the way: Alora Kaye McGhee

Sister: Rosa Miller

Brothers: Eugene McGhee, Raymond McGhee and wife Myrtle

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday, December 12, 2025 at High Street Baptist Church with funeral service at 7 PM, Rev. James Adkins and Rev. Thomas Adkins officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 11 AM Interment.
