Robert “Shaun” McCoy, age 40 of Jacksboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. He was born on August 23, 1983 to Bobby and Joyce McCoy of Briceville. He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved children. Shaun had an incredible heart for ministering to the homeless, the marginalized, and the forgotten. He wanted everybody to feel like somebody and to know they were loved. Shaun was unbelievably gifted with insight into the Word of God and would share it with anyone who would listen. He had a huge heart full of love for the lost and hurting and would never let you leave without a hug and an “I love you”. Shaun was a beloved member of Briceville First Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by: grandparents, Eric and Vilda McCoy, and Tina (Mamaw Tiny) Leazier; and step-dad, James Jeffers.

He is survived by: parents, Bobby and Joyce McCoy; children, Ella Rae McCoy, and Landon Ivey; sister, Lorie Wilson; niece, Reagan Wilson; nephew, Jack Wilson; special cousins, Brandon Prosise, Amber Marlow, Jerry Lindsay, Casey Swindall, and Haley Prosise; children he loved as his own, Sailor Hucks, and Caden Hucks; and many other family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the many friends and family who have reached out and served in this time of need.

The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with Pastor Danny Lawson officiating.
