Robert C. “Bob” Adkins, age 88 of Jacksboro, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 19, 1937. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him. Bob was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, crafts, and cooking. He was also an avid sports fan who loved the New England Patriots, Tennessee Vols, and the Atlanta Braves.

He is preceded in death by his mother Stella Ball; brothers Jesse and David; and sisters Susan Childress and Carol Lowhon; and two infant siblings.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Janice Adkins of Jacksboro; his children Bob Adkins and wife Susan of New Hampshire, Laura Plummer of New Hampshire, Tony White and wife Windy of Jacksboro, Stacy White of Jacksboro, and Shane White and wife Monica of Jacksboro; brothers Roger Adkins of Jacksboro and Joe Adkins and wife Dora of Norris; grandchildren Koltin White, Derrah Lovern, Michael Plummer, Phillip Plummer, Cassie Garrity, and Bobby Adkins; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Long Hollow Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Johnny Vanover and Rev. Matt Howard officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Beeler Cemetery for an 10:00 AM interment with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
