Rita Marie Russell age 80 of Andersonville

Rita Marie Russell age 80 of Andersonville, passed away on Monday March 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 31, 1945, to the late Oral and Rachel Rutherford. Rita loved gardening in her flower beds, cleaning up her yard, and being outside. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Tracy Rutherford and sister Carolyn Brooks.

Rita is survived by her daughters Diana Russell and Vivian Russell; brother Carl Rutherford and wife Mary; special niece Annette Stiles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will meet at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Bakers Forge Cemetery for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Bo Freeman officiating.
