Car catches on fire late Sunday afternoon

RIDGEWOOD, TN (WLAF)- A passenger vehicle caught fire late Sunday afternoon in south Campbell County.
The car that was on fire was at 662 Tackett Loop Road was in a neighborhood across I-75 from the former A & S Steel building. The fire prompted units with the Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department to be paged at 3:59pm.

Upon arrival, crews saw heavy smoke and fire coming from inside the black Kia sedan. “We were able to extinguish the fire quickly, and no one suffered injuries,” said RVFD Chief Dylan Roach.
