Richard “Hubo” Sharp, age 83 of Rocky Top, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his home. Richard was born June 28, 1941 in Briceville to the late Walter and Cora Hawkins Sharp. He attended Anchor of Hope Baptist Church. Hubo will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by son, Richard “Richie” Sharp; brothers, Vestal “Togie”, Bufford “Tuke”, Walter, Jr., Roy, and Verlin; sisters, Margaret, Evelyn, and Anna Lou.

He is survived by: wife of 62 years, Joyce Faye Shannon Sharp; daughter, Kayda Lavan Sharp; son, David Wayne Sharp; grandchildren, David Tyler, Danielle, and Richard; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Aleah, and Treeha; and great-great-grandchildren, Pay’shence; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation on Thursday, January 2, 2024 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm. His graveside service will be on Friday, January 3, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery at 11am. www.leachfamilyfuneralhome.com
