Rhonda Faye Money originally from La Follette, TN unexpectedly left this earth for her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Mongar; maternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Brown; paternal grandparents, Johnny Elworth Mongar, Iva and Claude Simpson.

Surviving Rhonda are: her father, Johnny H. Mongar; husband of 46 years, Chuck Money; sons, Chris and Ryan of Knoxville and Chad of Edgefield SC; brothers, John Mongar (Debbie) of La Follette, Darrell Mongar (Leanna) of La Follette; and several nieces and nephews.

Rhonda graduated valedictorian at Crown Collage with degrees in History, English and Bible. She dedicated her work-life to life-long learning. She taught History and English at Seymour Community Christian School for seven years then she retired after 20 years at Elavon/US Bank as Learning Systems Analysis. Rhonda enjoyed spending time with family and friends while attending live concerts of all kinds, camping, sports and spending time at the beach. While she enjoyed UT football and basketball, her true sports love was UT baseball. Rhonda loved all of her rescued fur babies.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Big Dog Haven Inc. located in Greenville Tennessee in Rhonda’s name.

Join us in celebrating Rhonda’s life on Friday, August 23rd at Atchley Funeral Home in Seymour, TN. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7 PM Friday, August 23rd with her service to follow at 7:00 PM in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel, 122 Peacock Ct., Seymour, TN 37865.
