Rev. Thomas Maynard Robertson, age 90 of Speedwell passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Rev. Robertson was a man deep rooted in his faith and a devoted member of Jacksboro Church of Christ. He was the former owner/operator of Tennessee Drive-In and Town View Apartments, and assisted in establishing several other businesses in the area. While living in Nashville, TN, Mr. Robertson received a Presidential Letter of Appreciation from President Richard Nixon for heroic actions in saving 4 children from a burning home. In his retirement, Mr. Robertson enjoyed wintering in Florida with his late wife, Octavia who passed in 2019. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his two daughters, Regina Chadwell and her husband, Donald, and Ruth Phillips, grandsons, Thomas Maynard Robertson, III, and Rusty Foster, parents, Ernest and June Robertson, and brothers, William, Ernest, and Tommy Robertson

He is survived by his son, Thomas Maynard “Tommy” Robertson, Jr.; grandchildren, Dustin Chadwell, Travis Robertson, Rodney Foster, Summer Phillips, Brett Davis, Jace Robertson, and Alayna Brock; special nephew, Danny Robertson and wife, Deborah; and several other nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 6:00 PM at Jacksboro Church of Christ with Ministers Don Mullins, George Wright, and Carl Hicks officiating. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Rev. Thomas Maynard Robertson.
