Ralph Allen Lovely born November 5th, 1951 to Gilford H. And Mabel (Burris) Lovely passed away at his home in Knoxville. Ralph was a member of West Park Baptist Church in Knoxville where he loved working in Bible School, the food pantry, and his pastor C.J. Gage. Growing up Ralph was an avid 4-H member and enjoyed showing cattle and sheep. He was a proud Jacksboro Eagle class of 1969. He graduated from Hiwassee College and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he earned two degrees. His first job was with Ted Lay at Lay Packing. He then achieved his dream job as the Blount County Agent where he worked with children enrolled in 4-H. Ralph was a lifelong UT football fan and when able he attended many games.

Ralph is preceded in death by parents and grandparents Mary and Arthur Burris Sr. and Isaac and Martha (Stooksbury) Lovely.

Survivors are sister Ruth Alice and Marvin Ford of LaFollette. Nieces Frances Nelson of Washington and Beth and husband Derek Huddleston of Jacksboro. Grand nieces and nephews who indeed were grand to him are Erica and Evan Nelson, Laiden, Jace, and Taelyn Mae Huddleston. Also survived by Aunt Evelyn Botkin of Dayton Ohio. He will also be missed by many other friends and family. Ralph’s desire was to be cremated. A graveside service will be announced at a later date on Cross Smith Funeral Homes website for an Interment at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
