LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Heading into the weekend we call the unofficial start to summer, gas prices are up a smidgen compared to last year. However, they are way down from the $4.15 a gallon we paid in 2022.
This morning, we are paying $2.93 for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline. That’s versus $2.86 a year ago.
That $4.15 price is the highest for a Memorial Day weekend over the past 11 years. Conversely, the $1.92 a gallon we were paying in 2017 is the lowest cost over the same span of time. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/23/2024-6AM)
