Public meeting on Semiquincentennial is at 6pm today

Wednesday, at 6pm, at the Museum of Appalachia

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- The Campbell County Historical Society invites everyone interested in the Semiquincentennial, America’s upcoming 250th birthday, to a free public meeting today, Wednesday, at 6pm, at the Museum of Appalachia. The museum is east off I-75 Exit 122.

“We’re gathering together Revolutionary War history from throughout the multi-county Norris Highlands region. Dr. Warren Dockter, President of the East Tennessee Historical Society & Co-Chairman of the Semiquincentennial State Commission will speak,” said Bill Claiborne, historian.
