Watch the live telecast of the Christmas Parade on Saturday at 6pm over WLAF

LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- When the Christmas Parade kicks off this year, its grand marshal will be someone who not only loves Christmas but loves the community.
Rissa Pryse, a lifelong Campbell County resident and local business owner, is the 2025 Grand Marshal.
Pryse and her business, Terry’s Pharmacy, have been the parade sponsor for many years.
“I enjoy helping the community celebrate the holidays,” she said.
Pryse is a third generation Campbell Countian. She lives in the house where her parents and grandparents lived. In this house is where her fondest Christmas memories were made.
There were five children in her family. On Christmas morning, they all five would come down the steps “that seemed so huge at the time,” she said. The living room would be closed off and would stay that way until the rest of the family arrived. When everyone arrived, the gifts would be opened.
Except for attending school, she has not lived anywhere else. Campbell County is where she wanted to live and work, Pryse said.
After completing her pharmacy degree at Mercer University in Atlanta, she returned to work at Terry’s Phatramcy. That was 1980. In 1998, she bought the drugstore.
At the pharmacy, she has served the community she holds so dear.

“I have seen families grow and new generations come in,” she said. “I have enjoyed every minute of it.”
In recent years, Pryse has stepped back allowing her daughter Raewyn Snodderly to become the face of the pharmacy.
Eighteen months ago, she also started a new endeavor with Snodderly and Timmy Zupancic. Refuel IV, a wellness center, started on a small scale. This summer it moved to a storefront across from the Food City Center.
Rissa is married to Dr. John Burrell. Her family includes Raewyn and John Snodderly, Leslie and Derrick Stanley, Elizabeth Tamer, and Emily and Justin Wilson. Her stepchildren and spouses are John Burrell, Jr., Brett Burrell (Stacey), Drew Burrell (Laura), and Elizabeth Burrell (Chris George).
The ones who call her YaYa are Nora Snodderly, Zeke Snodderly, Leighton Stanley, Baker Stanley, Catherine George, John Walter George, Maggie Burrell and Dane Siler Burrell.
