JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The Campbell County Regional planning commission approved several minor lot subdivisions during its monthly meeting on Monday.
All were approved on the recommendation of County Planner Jordan Rockwell, who said there “were no issues.”
First approved was the preliminary plat for a minor lot subdivision for Lindsay Carroll on Bowlin Cemetery Lane at Jellico.
According to Rockwell, the minor lot subdivision is for three lots. The preliminary plat was approved, but an easement will have to be constructed before final plat approval.
“The driving surface for the easement has to be 10 feet wide and four inches deep of gravel,” Rockwell said.
Next approved was a minor lot subdivision for Kove Properties LLC. on South High Knob Road, La Follette.
Also approved was a minor lot subdivision for Grant Miller on Old Middlesboro Highway (La Follette), as well as a minor lot subdivision for Bryan Patty on Mill Lane (La Follette).
Final business on the agenda was for a minor lot subdivision for Teddy Chapman on Pine Hollow Road (Jacksboro), but Chapman was unable to attend the meeting, so this item was tabled until next month.
Before the start of Monday’s county planning commission meeting, a public hearing was held regarding a subdivision regulation amendment on commonly held property maintenance requirements. No one from the public attended the meeting. The regulation amendment passed.
According to Rockwell, the amendment is “now law and anytime anyone builds a private road or sewer system, they gave to present an agreement that guarantees it will be maintained in perpetuity.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/04/2024-6AM)
