Incident ends with arrest by LaFollette Police
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- LaFollette Police Department Narcotics Detective Noah Riggs was dispatched to Doyle’s Tire Shop on Monday, June 23 around 4:30 pm. It was alleged that a man had given one of the worker’s a blue pill for a tip.
Detective Riggs spoke with the worker who reported that two males in a white Ford F-150 had bought some tires, and he had put them on the rims and mounted them on the truck. The worker continued that the driver of the truck paid the shop manager for the work that had been done. As the driver was pulling out of the shop, the passenger in the vehicle told the worker here’s your tip and handed a blue round pill out the window of the pick-up into the worker’s hand.
Doyle’s was able to provide Narcotics Detective Riggs with the tag number of the truck. When Officer Riggs ran the tag number, it was registered to a Nissan sedan, according to a report from the LaFollette Police Department.
Narcotics Detective Riggs located the Ford truck at Murphy’s Fuel Station with the tag number he was given. He stopped the vehicle at Walgreens and made contact with the driver. The driver of the truck stated that he had just left Doyle’s Tire Shop. Officer Riggs told him that a worker at Doyle’s had made a complaint about a blue pill. The passenger in the vehicle, Mark Anthony Perkins allegedly told Narcotics Detective Riggs that it was him that gave the worker the pill.
A search of the vehicle revealed a sunglass case in the passenger side door panel that contained a small baggie with three blue round pills the same as the one the detective recovered from Doyle’s. Also in the case was a small corner baggie with a yellow colored powder believed to be Schedule I Heroin. Narcotics Detective Riggs found a red rope tourniquet in Perkins front pants pocket. In the center console of the truck, there was three one CC syringes.
Perkins, 47, 907 Red Cut Road, Pioneer was charged with schedule I possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and schedule IV sell or delivery. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/07/2025-6AM)
