LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A special called meeting for the La Follette Utilities Board is set for Monday at 11am in the LUB Conference Room. Topics expected to be discussed are hourly tree trimming bids and personnel matters.

NASHVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- On Tuesday, students from Campbell and Jellico High Schools attended the SCOPE Conference at Belmont University. SCOPE, Student Congress on Policies in Education, is an annual event hosted by the Tennessee School Board Association (TSBA).

CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- On March 10, at 7pm, at the former West LaFollette School, the public can hear from a host of candidates seeking office. LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- On Saturday, March 14, at Woodson’s Mall, on the Jacksboro side is where the first Spring into Summer Home Refresh event takes place. “We’ll have a vendor from just about every category you can imagine when it comes to refreshing and renewing your home,” said Suzette Chapman with Harper Realty. Woodson’s Mall and Harper Realty are your hosts for the 10am until 2pm event.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- A presentation on the proposed “Tennessee Highlander Trail” was heard at Tuesday night’s regular monthly meeting of the Campbell Outdoor Recreation Association (CORA).  This project may one day be a linear, 42-mile-long walking and biking trail, on the R.J. Corman railroad bed from Oneida to Devonia.
