One patient airlifted; I-75 reopened later Thursday afternoon

JELLICO, TN (WLAF)- Interstate 75 northbound at the 158 mile marker was shut down around 2:30pm Thursday due to a single-vehicle wreck. That’s two miles south of Jellico.
It was closed due to an overturned vehicle.

The patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the Jellico Hospital. The male was then airlifted to the UT Medical Center at Knoxville via a medical helicopter.

They need to slow the traffic down and fix the pot holes. The are huge and deep. I travel it every other week daily . I hate it
Something has to give, because too many wrecks and deaths from Jellico to rocky top.
