JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Commission approved the disbursement of opioid abatement funds at Monday’s regular monthly meeting. 

Commissioners received information from General Sessions Judge Bill Jones regarding decisions on how the opioid abatement disbursement funds will be allotted a few months ago.

The recommendations for fund disbursement were made by the Addiction Awareness Committee. The funds available to be disbursed are $235,452.32.

The committee received nine applications totaling over $671,000. The Campbell County Coalition of Recovery Resources chose eight organizations it recommended to receive a portion of the $235.452.32 of opioid abatement funds available.

Organizations receiving funds include Pinnacle Resource Center, Bridges to Recovery, Springs of Life, Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County, HOL Health Counseling, General Sessions Recovery Court, CHET Veterans Court, and STAND Campbell United. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/20/2024-6AM)
