More than 100 hypodermic needles confiscated along with 13 grocery shopping carts

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Food City was missing 13 shopping carts. Those carts along with two carts from Walmart and one from UGO were located late Thursday morning at a home off Ridenour Lane. However, those missing shopping carts were not what prompted Campbell Sheriff’s Detectives to execute a narcotics search warrant at the home at 200 Smith Oaks Lane.
Sheriff’s Det. Franklin Ayers, Deputy Jackie Heatherly and other investigators executed the warrant just before 10:30am on June 13 and were able to locate their target, Brian Overton. In addition to Overton, there were six other individuals at Overton’s residence.
It was determined the total value of the shopping carts is $4,300. A total of 100 capped and uncapped hypodermic needles was also taken into evidence.

Mark Daugherty, 48, 1154 Shady Cove Road, Caryville, was charged with theft of property under $10,000 and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charge for Brendon Klingensmith, 31, 660 Stiner Lane, La Follette is violation of probation from criminal court.

Kristina Lovett, 50, Dayton, Ohio, was charged with theft of property under $10,000 and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wanted on a capias/bench warrant was David Nelson, 40, 506 North 13th Street, La Follette.

Brian Overton, 48, 200 Smith Oaks Lane, Jacksboro faces theft of property under $10,000 and felony possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

Corey Overton, 46, 570 Hatmaker Ridge Road, Jacksboro, was charged with theft of property under $10,000 and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft of property under $10,000 and felony possession of drug paraphernalia charges were levied against Anthony Sammons, 28, 4415 Pound Creek Road, La Follette.
