Tom Deperno and others from Heritage Baptist Church proclaimed the gospel in downtown La Follette on Saturday morning.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – It’s not easy to miss seeing the tall Tom Deperno nor hearing his resonant voice over the loud speaker. Deperono stood on corner of Central and Tennessee on Saturday morning along with other members of Heritage Baptist Church holding signs proclaiming the Word of God.

“This is another way for us to present God’s message and encourage folks to visit our church,” said Rev. Roger Hilliard with Heritage Baptist Church.

Hilliard, Deperno and Tom’s wife, Debbie, along with Jacqueline Davis and Roger Hilliard’s father Paul Hilliard were on the sidewalk under Saturday morning’s sunny sky. They started around 10:30am and wrapped up not long before noon.
