Odessia Pauline Foust Cook, born May 16th, 1929, entered her heavenly home Friday, December 5th, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was a faithful member of Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joys were beautiful and simple- watching the birds, quilting pieces stitched with love, gardening,and spending time with her family. Her home was a place of comfort, her words full of wisdom, and her love a constant source of strength. 

Preceded in death by mother and father, Virgil and Nora Gross, first husband, Bernard Foust, son, Bobby Foust, brother Euvaune Gross, second husband, Charles Cook, and five stepchildren. She is survived by daughters Jo Ann Shown, Janey (Rudy) Dyer, Brenda Hope, Rita (J.W.) Goins, all of Jacksboro, Nancy Robinson of Norris, son John (Mary) Foust of LaFollette, stepdaughter Joyce (Eddie) Goodman of Jacksboro, brother R.L. (Jewel) Gross of LaFollette, sixteen grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great grandchildren.

Her stories, her recipes, and her traditions will carry forward for generations. She will be forever missed.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at Martin Wilson Funeral Home in LaFollette. Visitation will be from 5-7, followed by a funeral. Burial service will begin Wednesday, December 10th at 10 a.m. at Martin Wilson with a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Indian Creek Baptist Church.
