Andy Brad Jones and Bryan Dion Clear arrested on multiple charges

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- An observant sheriff’s detective sergeant saw the driver of a car not wearing a seat belt and was also aware the driver did not have a valid driver’s license.
On Tuesday afternoon, Campbell Sheriff’s Det. Sgt. Jackie Heatherly initiated a traffic stop at the corner of West Central Avenue and North 13th Street, near the Corner Market. Heatherly asked the driver, Andy Brad Jones, why he was driving, and Jones allegedly explained he was out to get medicine and to buy some lottery tickets.
There were two passengers in Jones car and the officer requested all three occupants step outside the vehicle. After being asked if any of them had anything illegal, Bryan Clear allegedly stated he had hypodermic needles in one of his pockets and an empty baggie in another pocket. The needles and baggie were handed over to the officer. A crystal rock substance was in the baggie and was believed to be meth, according to the report from the sheriff’s office.
Upon searching the vehicle, Heatherly found a Crown Royal pouch on top of one of the sun visors. Several small zip lock baggies and a set of digital scales were allegedly found inside the pouch. Between the front seats, a cigarette pack was found that had a crystal-like substance thought to be meth, based on the arrest report. Jones allegedly admitted those items belonged to him.
Jones and Clear were arrested and transported to the Campbell County Jail.
Clear, 49, of 175 Woodside Lane, La Follette, was charged with simple possession of meth.
Jones, 55, of 381 Wildwood Circle, La Follette, faces multiple charges; driving while in possession of meth, schedule II possession with intent- manufacture-sell-delivery, driving while license suspended/cancelled/revoked and violation of the seat belt law.
Clear and Jones remain housed in the county jail this morning awaiting a Dec. 16 court date. Clear has a bond of $2,500 while Jones does not have a bond, according to jail records. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-12/04/2025-6AM)
