Norma Jean Herrell, age 92, of LaFollette

Norma Jean Herrell, age 92, of LaFollette, was born February 12, 1932, in Middlesboro, KY and went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2024. Jean had a kind smile for everyone she met. She loved to crochet, quilt, complete seek a word puzzles, and most of all freeze or can vegetables each summer. She had the most loving heart – especially when it came to children. It showed in many ways over the years with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other children that she took care of in her home. As an in-home caregiver, many of the children and their parents referred to her affectionately as “Mommy Jean”. Proceeded in death by her husband of almost 50 years Lucky Joe Herrell

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday, February 26 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home

with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. DeWayne Byrd officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 Tuesday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 11 AM interment.
