Noon time wreck on east end snarls traffic

A pick up truck and a sedan collided at the intersection below the hospital

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A Ford F-150 pick up truck and a Cadillac sedan collided at the North Avenue and South 14th Street intersection on East Central Avenue around noon on Tuesday.

Traffic was forced into one lane, the outside lane, in each direction for a while.

The truck spun westward into the turn lane and one lane of East Central Avenue, east bound lane while the sedan went over the hill on South 14th Street beside the La Follette Methodist Church.

The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries. The truck driver was not injured.

East Central Avenue reopened all lanes just after 1pm.
