“Our members back candidates who demonstrate they will support small businesses consistently and Representative Powers has shown us that he understands the ongoing challenge small businesses are facing,” said Jim Brown, the National Federation of Independent Business’ state director for Tennessee. “Representative Powers is committed to creating and maintaining a positive environment for small businesses in the district and across Tennessee.”
Powers is seeking reelection to House District 36 which includes Campbell, Union and part of Claiborne Counties.
“Small businesses are critical to the economy and support many families in our community,” Powers said. “I’m honored to be endorsed by the NFIB Tennessee PAC and I look forward to continuing to be an advocate for small business owners across our state.” Powers said.
The NFIB Tennessee PAC endorsement is critical to candidates’ campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB Tennessee PAC’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/12/2024-6AM)
