McHenry faces multiple charges including assault on first responder

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A Pleasant Ridge man is free on bond this morning after being charged with assault against a first responder or nurse.

Late Saturday afternoon, Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call to a home on Grassy Hill Lane off Glade Springs Road. That’s when and where Sonny Lynn McHenry, 45, 138 Blue Springs Road, La Follette, was arrested.

Deputies charged McHenry with domestic assault, resisting stop-frisk-halt-arrest or search and assault against a first responder or nurse.

Jail records indicate that this was McHenry’s 23rd arrest, and that he is due in court on Thursday morning. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/20/2023-6AM)
