Marshall Thomas Daugherty age 87 of Jacksboro, went home to be his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 17, 2024. He was born May 23, 1937, in Jacksboro to the late James R. and Milvina (Tackett) Daugherty. Marshall’s church membership was at Macedonia Baptist Church but he had been attending Indian Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, wiring, animals, and helping others. Marshall was an electrician by trade and loved handing out his Jesus signs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his 2nd wife Mary Carroll Daugherty; his stepchildren Patricia Wells and Roger Carroll; his brothers, Roscoe, Russell, Everette, Hyrmal, and Edgar Daugherty; his sister, Zora Lindsay.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Gracie Rutherford Daugherty of Jacksboro; his stepchildren, Brenda Walden of Jacksboro and Greg Carroll and wife, Kathy of LaFollette; five step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren; his special nephews, Randy Daugherty, Ricky Daugherty, and partner Gail all of Jacksboro; his special niece, Nadine Daugherty of Jacksboro; brother in law Ed Muse of Jacksboro; his very special friends, Josh Monday, Jamie Wright, Cody, Marie and Jonathan Ayers; several other special nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation for Marshall will be on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Indian Creek Baptist Church with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. John “Goober” Hunley, Rev. Lester Bolton, Rev. Virgil Farmer, and Rev. Bill Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in a funeral procession to Indian Creek Cemetery for 10:00 AM interment.
