Wlaf1450Mark Kilvin Kidwell, age 59, of LaFollette, went home to be with our Lord and Savior at his home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer. He was a member of Murrayville Baptist Church and a man of deep faith.
Mark was a loving Son, husband, father, grampa, and brother who loved spending time with his family. Mark was a superintendent for Johnson and Galyon for the last 36 years, where he made many lifelong friends.
Preceded in death by father: Albert Kidwell, brother: Anthony Kidwell,
nephew: Matt Kidwell.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his family, whom he loved with his whole mind, soul, body, and strength:
Loving wife of 36 years Sylvia, son Bradley Kidwell and wife Haley who he loved as a daughter, daughters, Amanda Kidwell, Caitlin Kidwell and Fiancé Jordan Pierce, granddaughters, Abigail and Amberlee Jeffries and Lilah Kidwell all of LaFollette, his mother Pat Kidwell, brothers, Mickey and wife Kay Kidwell, James and wife Mary Kidwell, sisters, Leacha and husband Denny Sharp, Angie and husband Eddie Taylor, Christine Ownby.
Several nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Murrayville Baptist Church and Johnson and Gaylon Construction and their subcontractors for all their love and support during this time.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday, March 14, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 12 Noon Sunday, March 15, at Cross-Smith Chapel,
Rev. Jim Leach and Rev. Derick Hembree officiating. Following the service, family and friends will proceed to Baker’s Forge Cemetery for interment.
